Job summary

Municipality of Anchorage seeks a data analyst to analyze data for frequency sets, cross-tabulation, demographics, and regression analyses. You will work with staff to develop valid statistical approaches and methodologies for data and analysis, and provide reports on findings.

The role includes supervising staff to meet grant goals and program objectives and requires experience in public health or related fields with strong statistical capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Public/Business Administration, Economics, Justice, Criminology, Sociology, Psychology, or related field; four years in public health, criminal/justice/public safety; two years in research/statistical analysis.
• Substitute: High school diploma or equivalent with related experience; may substitute for Bachelor's degree on year-for-year basis.
• Substitute: Postgraduate education may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data for frequency sets, cross-tabulation, demographics, and regression analyses; develop valid statistical approaches.
• Provide written, graphic, and oral reports on findings to staff.
• Supervise staff to meet grant goals and program objectives.
