Job summary

The Oklahoma State Department of Health is seeking a Perinatal and Reproductive Health Intern to assist the PRH Epidemiology team with data analyses and reporting. This part-time, temporary role provides hands-on experience in public health analytics and supports the assessment of maternal health data.

Under supervision, you will apply statistical methods to public health datasets, prepare reports, and contribute to projects addressing maternal morbidity patterns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in community health, epidemiology, biostatistics, or statistics.
• Demonstrated ability to apply appropriate statistical tests to public health data.
• Pursuing a master’s degree is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support analysis of data to explore maternal morbidity patterns.
• Evaluate progress of work groups within the Maternal Health Taskforce.
• Explore trends related to maternal morbidity and mortality.
• Office presence is an essential function of the job.
• Other duties as assigned.
