The Health Federation of Philadelphia seeks a skilled Research and Data Associate to design and conduct quantitative and qualitative public health research. You will collect, clean, analyze, and present data to inform CDIP program areas including tobacco control, nutrition, and gun violence prevention.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of epidemiology or social science research methods.
• Ability to analyze data, write project proposals, and write technical reports.
• Ability to summarize findings for various audiences including scientists and policymakers.
• Interest in using data skills to advance health policy goals.
• Strong analytic abilities with statistical software (R, Stata, SAS).
• Experience with REDCap.
• Strong mapping abilities using ArcGIS/Leaflet a plus.
• Experience with interactive data visualization (Tableau, Shiny) a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Able to work as a team, prioritize and handle multiple tasks.

Responsabilités

• Manage, clean, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources.
• Execute full research workflow from literature reviews to data collection and analysis.
• Present findings in tables, graphs, reports, and manuscripts for diverse audiences.
• Oversee evaluation projects with internal and external partners and report progress to stakeholders.
• Support grant reporting with metrics from external partners.
• Guide projects through IRB approval processes.
• Address data requests and support new research questions and policy positions.
• Assist in qualitative work and literature synthesis.
• Participate in division meetings to inform policy and program decisions.
• Develop and field data collection efforts including surveys.
• Contribute to manuscripts for peer‑reviewed journals.
• Collaborate with the team on new data analysis tasks based on CDIP needs.
