The Bureau of Hepatitis, HIV, and Sexually Transmitted Infections (BHHS) oversees NYC’s response to viral hepatitis, HIV, and STIs, including testing, prevention, treatment, epidemiology, community engagement, and policy work. The role involves confidential disease investigation and intervention activities, provider and community education, and research support.
