Job summary

MaziCTools is recruiting a Controller to oversee corporate accounting and SEC reporting in Northern Virginia. This individual will manage accounting operations including AR/AP and cash management, while also supervising one senior accountant.

The ideal candidate has over 7 years of experience, including 2 in a management role, and holds a CPA license. This role provides an excellent mentorship opportunity for growth into a CFO role within the organization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in management.
• Current or prior public audit experience preferred.
• Aspirations to become a CFO.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly/quarterly close processes and SOX compliance.
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and cash management.
• Assist in SEC reporting and board package preparation.
• Collaborate with Portfolio Management on financial reporting.
• Supervise one senior accountant and maintain cross-departmental relationships.
