Job summary

Piper Sandler invites an undergraduate intern for Summer 2027 to support the Public Finance division in Minneapolis, MN. You’ll work with debt scheduling, sources and uses, and assist senior staff with project deliverables.

Excellent communication, analytical skills, and attention to detail are required, with familiarity in Word/Excel; Tableau is a plus. Applicants graduate Dec 2027 or Spring 2028. 21 USD/hour anticipated.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral, written communication, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong analytical ability with proven interest in financial markets.
• Detail oriented.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel. Knowledge of Tableau is a plus but not required.
• This internship opportunity is open to undergraduate students who graduate in December 2027 or Spring 2028.

Responsibilities

• Work within, create, and update Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
• Use certain industry-standard software to calculate debt schedules, sources & uses etc.
• Occasionally attend meetings with senior staff; prepare deliverables to support those meetings
• Assist Public Finance team with projects and assignments
