The incumbent will oversee budgeting processes, supervise staff, prepare financial statements, and coordinate with management and auditors to ensure fiscal integrity.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to completion of a bachelor’s degree in Public or Business administration, Economics, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Three years of increasingly responsible experience in fiscal resource management, including at least one year in public finance and accounting.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations affecting fiscal operations and audits.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of industry standards for public finance administration and budgeting.
• Coordinate fiscal, billing and grant accounting systems and ensure accuracy.
• Build positive working relationships with management, staff, and auditors.
• Direct and supervise staff; provide training and performance evaluation.
• Advise management on fiscal policies, goals and programs.
• Prepare complex accounting reports, budgets, and financial analyses.
• Oversee departmental budgeting and coordinate the budget process.
• Ensure compliance with audits and internal controls.
