Job description

J.P. Morgan has an industry-leading Public Finance platform serving the investment banking needs of municipalities, non-profits, and taxable/tax-exempt fixed income investors.

Public Finance Issuer clients include state & local government, transportation, energy, housing, higher education, non-profit healthcare and corporate-backed sectors.

Public Finance Investor clients include asset managers, mutual funds, money market funds, insurance companies, corporations, hedge funds, high net worth individuals, and retail investors.

The public finance banking digital platform analyst will work closely with banking, technology, syndicate and debt capital markets teams to deliver data-oriented solutions used department-wide to best serve our clients. This role will focus on harnessing the value of proprietary and market data and streamlining workflows through managing the design, development, implementation and enhancements of existing and new systems.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Work with stakeholders to set and deliver strategy for data analytics, CRM tools and automation of workflows.
  2. Define, provide specification for and prioritize book of work with technology to deliver projects on time and with successful product releases.
  3. Communicate across department on product releases and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
  4. Ownership of data quality and testing of new and enhanced systems.
  5. Conduct data analytics by leveraging programming tools to extract, transform, and load data for visualization, supporting management and other business users.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
  1. Experience with financial products, particularly in structuring or analyzing fixed income securities, with a strong understanding of their role in financial markets and how clients use them to achieve their strategic goals.
  2. Strong communicator with the ability to speak to technical detail as well as with wide range of stakeholders across the business.
  3. Team player with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and ability to multi-task.
  4. Ability to drive a project to completion with the flexibility to adjust to ensure impactful solutions.
  5. Some combination of experience with Bloomberg Terminal, SQL, Python, R, Alteryx, Excel and Tableau.
  6. Ability to quickly learn new tools and identify their potential to solve inefficiencies and drive improvements.

**Base Pay/Salary**: New York, NY $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 / year
