A newly hired Protector who is selected for a Team Leader opportunity in Atlanta will earn no less than $65,000 in their first year with GDBA. Protectors based in Atlanta could earn up to $90,000 in their first year.

Team Leader opportunities are earned by merit based on prior relevant experience and GDBA Training Academy performance. Protectors excelling in individual performance and ongoing training during the Two-Year Professional Leadership Track (PLT) can qualify for accelerated advancement to a Team Lead role.

This is a full-time position with benefits, including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and 401(k).

Who You Are

GDBA’s ideal candidate for an Executive Protection Team Lead position possesses one or more of the following:

  • 3+ years of experience conducting close protection/executive protection operations for high-net-worth or at-risk clients.
  • Experience in Residential, Corporate, Technology, or Military/Law Enforcement Protective Security Details (PSD).
  • International or domestic field/travel experience (preferred but not required).
  • 3+ years working as a certified law enforcement officer.
  • HR-218 (LEOSA) eligibility or a concealed carry (CCW) permit (notable).
  • 2+ years as an Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT), Paramedic (NREMT-P), or Registered Nurse (RN). Military medical experience (e.g., Corpsman, Combat Medic, Special Operations Medical) is also accepted.
Your Role As a Team Leader
  • Communicate directly with clients and become subject-matter experts for specific assignments.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on high-level decisions.
  • Plan shift schedules and make adjustments based on client needs.
  • Monitor property using GDBA Command Center tools and technology.
  • Screen visitors and vendors; control access to protected sites.
  • Coordinate and execute security plans and respond to medical emergencies.
  • Provide physical protection and logistical support at clients' homes and during travel.
  • Provide secure transportation as needed.
  • Survey and prepare locations prior to client arrival.
  • Document suspicious activity in detail.
  • Create and maintain readiness to meet any threat.
Additional Details

Minimum Education: High School/GED
