Job summary

The NYS Office for People With Developmental Disabilities is seeking Cleaners to perform a variety of routine manual cleaning tasks in public buildings and their surroundings. Duties include washing floors, disposing of waste, and maintaining cleanliness in restrooms and locker rooms. Preferably, candidates will have a valid NYS Driver’s License. The starting salary includes the Downstate adjustment with a total of $38,312 to $46,565. Competitive benefits package includes health, retirement, and paid leave.

Qualifications

• Must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position.
• Understand and carry out written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning duties in public buildings.
• Collect and dispose of medical waste.
