Job summary

Genesis Management and Insurance Services Corporation (Genesis) is seeking an Underwriting Division Manager in Stamford, CT, with hybrid office requirements. You will lead the public entity and education underwriting team, pricing opportunities and driving long-term profitability.

You will report to the CEO and work closely with USD and GenStar to provide underwriting, actuarial, contracts and regulatory support, owning P&L for this business segment.

Qualifications

• Fifteen years casualty re/insurance experience with prior leadership experience.
• Track record of leading a high-performing team.
• Knowledge of public entity and education markets is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Genesis team of underwriters and set underwriting strategy.
• Lead underwriting and pricing of new opportunities for public entity and education segments.
• Report to CEO and collaborate with USD for actuarial, contracts and regulatory support.
• Represent Genesis at internal and external conferences and drive profitability.
• Develop and nurture relationships with brokers and clients to expand business.
