The Missouri Public Defender System (MSPD) seeks a Public Defender Trial Attorney in Carthage to advocate zealously for indigent clients across all phases of criminal matters in Missouri. You will establish relationships, provide counsel, and handle investigations and court appearances with a commitment to justice.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in Missouri and eligible to sit for the bar.

Responsibilities

• Investigate cases, interview clients, witnesses, and experts.
• Attend court appearances and litigate cases at the trial court level.
• Provide clear legal counsel and maintain client communication.
• Collaborate with colleagues and staff, and participate in CLE.
