Job summary

The Justice Administrative Commission's Public Defender's Office for Florida’s Fifth Judicial Circuit seeks an experienced Assistant Public Defender to represent individuals charged with misdemeanors and criminal traffic offenses in Marion, Lake, and Citrus counties.

You will zealously advocate, manage a high-volume caseload, prepare cases efficiently, and collaborate with staff to provide principled, effective defense with access to comprehensive resources and state benefits.

Total Compensation Estimator Michael A. Graves, Public Defender for Florida’s Fifth Judicial Circuit, is seeking experienced attorneys for positions throughout the Circuit, including the following office locations:

• Marion County Office – Ocala
• Lake County Office – Tavares
• Citrus County Office – Inverness

Salary range is from $77,000 to $80,000 with generous State of Florida benefits.
