Job summary

San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) invites students and recent graduates to apply for a paid internship in the Contracts Division. Interns will gain hands-on experience supporting procurement activities for planning, research, construction, technology, and operations projects.

The program emphasizes mentorship and professional development. Interns work two days per week onsite at 1011 Union Street, downtown San Diego, with opportunities to assist in filing, data entry, report

Qualifications

Graduate or undergraduate level coursework in business, finance, public administration, engineering, planning, or related field.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Willingness to perform entry-level analyst tasks.
Ability to conduct research and prepare summaries.

Responsibilities

Perform filing, data entry, and recordkeeping tasks using contract management systems.
Assist with development of reports and procurement documents.
Coordinate with consultants to process requests to add personnel or subconsultants.
Maintain consultant rates, schedules, and records for tracking use of small businesses.
Assist with preparing drafts of procurement and contract documents.
Provide ongoing team support for special projects.
Help prepare progress reports and communicate with project managers.
