Job summary

ACME in Austin, TX is seeking a Financial Analyst III to coordinate budget processes, develop operating and CIP budgets, and deliver financial analysis to support city management.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, or Economics with four years of related experience; a Master's or CPA can substitute for experience, and advanced Excel/Power BI skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics plus four years of related experience.
• Master’s degree may substitute for two years of experience.
• A CPA designation may substitute for one year of experience.
• Experience interpreting financial data for management.

Responsibilities

• Develop operating and CIP budgets and monitor variances.
• Prepare periodic and ad-hoc financial analyses and reports.
• Monitor debt service schedules and CIP projects.
• Provide financial guidance to City management and councils.
