Job summary

Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) is hiring PBS4 – CPSS to manage complex client cases in a virtual setting. You will determine eligibility, conduct in-depth interviews, and develop service plans to connect clients with BFET, TANF and other supports.

The role emphasizes policy interpretation, trauma-informed planning, and collaboration with community partners to reduce barriers and improve outcomes for Washingtonians in need.

Qualifications

• Eligibility knowledge of Washington’s public assistance programs.
• Ability to assess and re-determine eligibility with accuracy.
• Comfort navigating WAC, RCW, and internal manuals.

Responsibilities

• Independently determines and re-determines client eligibility for CSD programs.
• Conducts intensive client interviews and orientations to programs.
• Develops service plans and referrals for BFET, TANF and other assistance.
• Reads and interprets WAC/RCW and policy manuals, ensuring compliance.
• Engages in outreach and collaboration with tribes and community organizations.
