Job summary

Trilogy is seeking a dedicated Public Benefits Coordinator in the Chicago area to support Medicaid and SNAP enrollment and retention. The role collaborates with agency teams to educate clients, monitor renewals, and assist with eligibility requirements. A trauma-informed, harm-reduction approach guides service delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience working with people with mental health and/or substance abuse diagnoses.
• Excellent organization skills and proficient use of Microsoft Excel.
• Valid Illinois driver's license with daily access to a well-maintained vehicle and $100,000/$300,000 liability insurance.
• Ability to work within our structure and collaborate with others.

Responsibilities

• Benefits screening and enrollment, focusing on Medicaid and SNAP.
• Maintain a caseload with renewal deadlines and assist with renewals and exemptions.
• Advocate for clients with state, federal and local agencies to resolve eligibility issues.
• Educate clients and staff on benefits changes and renewal requirements.
