Ensemble Health Partners in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Patient Access Associate to determine Medicaid eligibility and assist with the application process. You will review referrals, collect documents, and coordinate submissions to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

You will collaborate with county/state Medicaid caseworkers and other revenue cycle teams, maintaining records in patient accounting systems and supporting timely billing or adjustments.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in healthcare industry interacting with patients about hospital finances.
• Understanding of Revenue Cycle including admission, billing, payments and denials.
• Knowledge of Health Insurance requirements.
• Patient Access experience with managed care/insurance and call center experience preferred.
• Inquisitive mindset with openness to AI to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Interview uninsured/under-insured patients to determine eligibility for Medicaid or related financial assistance.
• Assist with application processes to facilitate accurate and timely submissions.
• Follow up on submitted applications to ensure timely billing or adjustments.
• Document actions and communications in patient accounting systems.

Knowledge of medical terminology or CPT or procedure codes.Patient Access experience with managed care/insurance and Call Center experience highly preferred.Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences.Minimum Education:High School Diploma or GED.
