- This position pays between $17.00 - $18.15/hr based on experience.
- This position is an onsite role in Tulsa, OK, and candidates must be able to work on-site at Hillcrest Medical Center.
- Available Shifts include:
- Full-Time Day Shift Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
- Full-Time Day Weekend Shift Tuesday - Saturday 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. $$ Shift Differential Pay $$
Job Responsibilities
- Perform admitting duties for all patients admitted for services at the hospital while meeting the mission and goals of the organization and all regulatory compliance requirements.
- Assign accurate MRNs, complete medical necessity/compliance checks, provide proper patient instructions, collect insurance information, receive and process physician orders, and utilize overlay tool while providing excellent customer service as measured by Press Ganey.
- Operate the telephone switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and inter-office calls; adhere to policies and provide excellent customer service with compassion.
- Utilize quality auditing and reporting systems to ensure accounts are corrected; conduct audits of accounts and provide statistical data to leadership.
- Perform pre-registration of patient accounts prior to visits; obtain demographic, insurance, and other information including patient financial liabilities; collect point of service collections and past due balances with payment plan options.
- Explain general consent for treatment forms; obtain necessary signatures.
- Distribute patient education documents and consent forms.
- Review eligibility responses in insurance verification system and enter benefit data to support collections and billing processes.
- Screen medical necessity using ABN software; inform Medicare patients about possible non-payment and distribute ABN as appropriate.
Experience
- 1+ years of customer service experience.
- Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences.
Required Education
- High School Diploma/GED Required.
Certification
- CRCR Required within 6 months of hire (Company Paid).
