Job summary

Loews Arlington Hotel is seeking a dedicated housekeeping team member to maintain guest rooms and public areas in our busy Arlington property.

You will stand, lift up to 150 pounds, follow department procedures, and collaborate with a dynamic team to deliver excellent guest service, with a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous experience an asset.
• Able to work as part of a dynamic quality-driven team.
• Basic English language skills.
• Requires extensive standing, walking, lifting and bending.
• Able to push, stand, stoop, bend, and lift items weighing up to 150 pounds repetitively during entire shift.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be customer-service orientated and have excellent hospitality skills.

Responsibilities

• Report to work as scheduled in proper uniform.
• Maintain a friendly, positive attitude and greet returning guests.
• Follow Housekeeping policies and radio etiquette.
• Assist room attendants by emptying trash and soiled linen.
• Keep public areas clean and presentable at all times.
• Handle guests with excellent guest relations skills.
• Attend departmental meetings and trainings.
• Perform duties timely and efficiently.
• Maintain linen closets and stock supplies.
• Dispose of trash at day’s end.
• Wash guest room glassware and deliver to linen closets.
• Notify supervisors of problems promptly and fully.
• Be polite, friendly, and helpful to guests and staff.
