Job summary

Island Hospitality in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Houseperson to maintain cleanliness and the general appearance of public areas and corridors of our hotel. The role requires flexible scheduling to meet guest needs and hotel operations.

You will assist with housekeeping tasks, restock supplies, report safety hazards, and ensure inviting lobby and public spaces. We offer training, team support, and a benefits package including healthcare, retirement plan, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must be a highly motivated team player with initiative and achievement drive.
• Ability to handle problems in the workplace, including anticipating and solving issues.
• Reads guests well and offers excellent guest service in all interactions.

Responsibilities

• Upkeep the public areas of the hotel.
• Assist with housekeeping duties as needed (changing sheets, towels, restocking supplies, vacuuming, cleaning).
• Participate in preventative maintenance programs.
• Recognize and report safety hazards and notify supervisors of damages.
• Maintain storeroom shelf organization and replenish supplies.
• Clean furniture, elevators, glass, carpets, walls in lobby, pool, and public restrooms.
• Deliver special request items to guest rooms.
