Job summary

Island Hospitality seeks a Houseperson to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of public areas and corridors in our Charlotte hotel. You will ensure spotless lobbies, stairs, restrooms and common spaces while supporting housekeeping as needed.

The role offers flexible scheduling and requires a team-focused, guest-friendly individual who can adapt to daily occupancy changes and maintain safety standards for our guests and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Highly motivated team player with initiative and desire for achievement.
• Effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
• Ability to work well in stressful situations.
• Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service.

Responsibilities

• Upkeep the public areas.
• Assisting with Housekeeping as needed with basic duties (changing sheets, towels, restocking supplies, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning).
• Ongoing involvement in preventative maintenance programs.
• Recognize and report potential safety hazards and notify supervisors of damages or disturbances.
• Maintaining shelf organization in storerooms and replenishing supplies.
• Cleaning furniture, elevators, glass, planters, light fixtures, carpets, walls in public areas (lobby, pool, restrooms).
• Delivering special request items such as cribs to guest rooms.
