Job summary

North Shore Preserve, a Discovery Land Company community on Kaua’i, seeks a Public Area Attendant to maintain clubhouse and public spaces. You’ll clean, sanitize, and present facilities to exceed member and guest expectations; manage supplies and report issues for a safe environment.

You’ll work with Residential Services and Club Operations, supporting linen laundering for pool, spa, and fitness areas while adhering to safety standards and a courteous, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of professional housekeeping or cleaning experience.
• Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques and safety practices.
• Ability to read, write, speak English; strong communication.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular cleaning of clubhouse, public areas, and restrooms.
• Vacuum, dust, mop, window cleaning and sanitization.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Report maintenance issues and follow safety procedures.
• Launder pool, spa, salon, and fitness linen and towels.
• Support team and adapt to flexible hours including weekends.

You will ensure that the clubhouse, public areas, amenities facilities, and private residential homes are well-maintained, presentable, and exceeds the expectations of members and guests. You will work closely with the Residential Services and Club Operations management team to deliver exceptional service and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.Key ResponsibilitiesClubhouse Housekeeper / Public Area AttendantPerform regular cleaning and maintenance tasks to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the clubhouse, including but not limited to vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and window cleaning.Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring a high standard of hygiene and stocking supplies as needed.Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, ensuring their availability for daily operations.Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as required, ensuring proper disposal of waste.Ensure all public areas, including hallways, lobby, and common spaces, are consistently clean and presentable.Clean and maintain furniture, fixtures, and equipment, ensuring they are in good condition and free of damage or stains.Respond promptly to clubhouse management requests for immediate cleaning needs or special cleaning projects.Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate personnel, ensuring a safe and functional environment for residents and guests.Follow all established safety procedures and regulations to maintain a secure working environment.Stay updated on the latest industry practices and cleaning techniques to continuously improve performance and efficiency.Responsible for the day-to-day laundering of pool, spa & salon and fitness linen and terry.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.At least 6 months of previous housekeeping experience preferred.Proven experience in professional cleaning or housekeeping, preferably in a high-end residential or hospitality setting.Excellent knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and best practices for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.Knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to apply them in the workplace.Safety conscious at all times in use of machinery and chemicals to avoid injury to self and others.Attention to detail and the ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the clubhouse.Additional RequirementsPositive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
