Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts in San Antonio is seeking a Housekeeping Attendant to clean and service public areas to high standards, including lobbies and restrooms. You will work with a team to maintain cleanliness and guest comfort.

Responsibilities include floor care, furniture polishing, reporting repairs, handling guest requests, and supporting other departments in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Some housekeeping experience and ability to speak English preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 200 pounds.
• Frequent standing and moving around the facility.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service assigned areas according to established standards and procedures (public restrooms, lobby, public phone areas, vending areas, etc.).
• Strip and wax floors as needed; clean and polish furniture, railings, table tops, mirrors.
• Report to supervisor any repairs or unsafe conditions.
• Respond to guest complaints and requests; ensure corrective action for guest satisfaction.
• Monitor and control supplies and minimize waste across areas.
• Log lost and found items per procedures.
• Promote teamwork and coordination with other departments.
• May assist with deep cleaning projects and other duties as assigned.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

• Clean and service assigned areas according to established standards and procedures which may include public restrooms, lobby area, public phone areas, vending areas, etc. May include cleaning employee break areas and restrooms.
• Strip and wax floors as needed, clean and polish all furniture, railings, table tops, mirrors in assigned areas.
• Report to supervisor needed repairs or unsafe conditions.
• Respond to guest complaints, special requests and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
• Monitor and control supplies and amenities, and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping.
• Report, turn in, and/or log any lost and found items according to established procedures.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
• May regularly assist with deep cleaning projects.
• May assist with other duties as assigned.
