Job summary

Westgate Resorts in Kissimmee, FL is seeking a Public Area Attendant responsible for keeping all public spaces clean and inviting, including restrooms, lobbies, hallways and offices in the lobby and sales areas.

The role demands detail orientation, reliability, ability to lift up to 35 lbs, weekend and holiday availability, and adherence to our smoke-free workplace policy while delivering exceptional guest service.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs and work in outdoor weather conditions.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Dust, disinfect and clean bathrooms and public areas.
• Restock toilet paper and paper towels in restrooms.
• Monitor and replenish supplies in stock closet.
• Sweep and mop all floors.
• Maintain glass and mirror surfaces in public areas.
• Empty and clean ashtrays and trash in public areas.
• Dust all public areas and offices in lobby/sales areas.
• Report engineering issues to supervisor promptly.
• Place trash in designated pickup areas.
• Vacuum rugs and carpeting in designated spaces.

Job Description

The Public Area Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of all public spaces throughout the property. This role ensures a welcoming and sanitary environment for guests and team members by cleaning and servicing public areas, including restrooms, lobbies, hallways, and other common spaces. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to delivering exceptional standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

What You’ll Do

• Constantly dusting, disinfecting and cleaning of all bathrooms
• Constantly restocking of toilet paper and paper towels
• Monitors and restock supplies needed in stock closet
• Sweeping and moping all floors
• Maintaining all glass and mirror areas clean
• Clean ashtrays and trash in public areas
• Dusting all public areas
• Clean and maintain all offices located in lobby and sales areas
• Report any engineering problems immediately to supervisor and or centralized department locations
• Places trash in specific areas for pick up
• Vacuum areas with rugs
• Other duties may be assigned
