Job summary

Valor is seeking a hotel housekeeping attendant to maintain lobby and public spaces in a clean, safe, and orderly condition. You will dust, vacuum, clean restrooms, stock supplies, and assist guests with requests while upholding high standards of service.

No formal experience is required; a high school diploma or equivalent is expected. This role offers competitive pay and benefits within a global hospitality company with growth opportunities.

• Willingness to carry and move supplies between rooms and floors.

Responsibilities

• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures and window frames.
• Vacuum upholstery, drapery, carpet; clean hallways, public elevators, elevator landings and vending area.
• Clean and shine glass and metal surfaces.
• Empty smoking materials from ash urns; remove trash to dumpster.
• Clean offices as assigned.
• Clean public restrooms and stock with supplies.
• Stock housekeeping cart with all necessary supplies.
• Fulfill guest requests and handle guest problems to achieve customer satisfaction.
• Report any missing articles, damage or mechanical problems to the Supervisor.
• Turn in all articles left in guest rooms to the Supervisor and log in Lost and Found.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor.

POSITION PROFILE

Maintain lobby and public space areas, as assigned by management, in a clean and orderly condition according to standard procedures in a safe, accident-free manner.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILTIES

• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures and window frames
• Vacuum upholstery, drapery, and carpeting; Clean /maintain hallways and surrounding areas, public elevators (inside and outside), elevator landings and vending area
• Clean and shine all glass and metal surfaces.
• Empty all smoking materials from ash urns; remove trash to dumpster.
• Clean offices as assigned
• Clean public restrooms and stock with supplies.
• Stock housekeeping cart with all necessary supplies.
• Fulfill guest requests and handle guest problems/complaints as they may arise to achieve customer satisfaction
• Report any missing articles, damage or mechanical problems to then Supervisor.
• Turn in all articles left in guest rooms to the Supervisor to log in Lost and Found Secure and maintains custody of equipment, keys and supplies at all times in order to protect and preserve hotel property.
• Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
• Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• No formal experience required for the position.
• Constantly pushing supply cart from room to room, carrying tote tray with replacement amenities from department to assigned floor, arranging drapery and replacement linen, carrying dirty linen to laundry chute, operating vacuum.
• Communicate information, respond to question, and provide directions and hotel services to guests, vendors, staff member and management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
