Job summary

Valor is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping/Public Space Attendant to maintain lobby and public areas to the highest standards. The role involves cleaning, restocking, and assisting guests with requests to ensure a welcoming environment.

Key duties include dusting, vacuuming, restroom upkeep, and reporting any issues to management. Training is provided; a positive attitude and teamwork are valued in a global hospitality company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• No formal experience required for the position.
• Ability to communicate information and hotel services to guests, vendors, staff and management.

Responsibilities

• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures and window frames.
• Vacuum upholstery, drapery and carpeting; clean/maintain hallways and surrounding areas, public elevators and landings.
• Clean offices as assigned.
• Clean public restrooms and stock supplies.
• Stock housekeeping cart with necessary supplies.
• Fulfill guest requests and handle complaints to achieve satisfaction.
• Report missing articles, damage or mechanical problems to the Supervisor.
• Turn in items left in guest rooms to Lost and Found and log them.
• Secure and maintain custody of equipment, keys and supplies at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Maintain a friendly, cheerful, courteous demeanor at all times.

POSITION PROFILE

Maintain lobby and public space areas, as assigned by management, in a clean and orderly condition according to standard procedures in a safe, accident-free manner.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILTIES

Dust and polish furniture, fixtures and window frames Vacuum upholstery, drapery, and carpeting; Clean /maintain hallways and surrounding areas, public elevators (inside and outside), elevator landings and vending area Clean and shine all glass and metal surfaces. Empty all smoking materials from ash urns; remove trash to dumpster. Clean offices as assigned Clean public restrooms and stock with supplies. Stock housekeeping cart with all necessary supplies. Fulfill guest requests and handle guest problems/complaints as they may arise to achieve customer satisfaction Report any missing articles, damage or mechanical problems to then Supervisor. Turn in all articles left in guest rooms to the Supervisor to log in Lost and Found Secure and maintains custody of equipment, keys and supplies at all times in order to protect and preserve hotel property. Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management. Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

High school diploma or equivalent experience. No formal experience required for the position. Constantly pushing supply cart from room to room, carrying tote tray with replacement amenities from department to assigned floor, arranging drapery and replacement linen, carrying dirty linen to laundry chute, operating vacuum. Communicate information, respond to question, and provide directions and hotel services to guests, vendors, staff member and management.
