Job summary

Jobot is seeking a seasoned attorney with Public Agency litigation experience for a premier firm in San Francisco. The ideal candidate holds a J.D., is admitted to the State Bar, and has 5+ years handling municipal and CEQA matters for public entities.

You will manage diverse litigation matters, draft and negotiate contracts, and provide strategic guidance to public agency clients while working closely with senior attorneys and partners.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission in good standing.
• 5+ years of public agency litigation experience, with municipal law focus.
• Experience representing local government entities.
• Strong research, writing, advocacy, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing a diverse caseload of public agency litigation matters, including municipal law, civil litigation, CEQA, construction defect, and construction cases.
• Representing public agencies, cities, counties, and special districts in various litigation matters.
• Interpreting, analyzing, and providing guidance on local government laws, regulations, and policies.
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Conducting legal research and preparing legal memoranda, briefs, motions, pleadings, and other court filings.
• Providing sound legal advice to public agency clients on a wide range of legal issues.
• Participating in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and settlement negotiations.
• Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the efficient and effective handling of cases.
