Job summary

Torch Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Public Affairs Specialist to support the C3BM division at WPAFB in Dayton, OH. The role covers strategic communications, public affairs, outreach, and event planning, with responsibility for ensuring consistent messaging across the division.

Candidates should have 3+ years in DoW/public affairs, U.S. citizenship, and a current Top Secret/SCI clearance. The position is onsite with travel as needed and offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience, with at least 3 years in the DoW.
  • Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret Level Clearance with current SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and execution of strategic programs, including strategic communications, public affairs, outreach, and event planning.
  • Manage communications content, coordinate high-visibility events, and strengthen stakeholder engagement across government, industry, academia, and international partners.
  • Support and manage events, outreach programs, campaigns, ceremonies, and assignments.
  • Manage message content to ensure consistency across the division.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute special events (ceremonies, official visits), ensuring activities align with government lead and stakeholders.
  • Support division conference exhibit activities.
  • Contribute to division strategic initiatives, including drafting press releases and articles, developing communications strategies, and leading strategic design for major events and conferences.
  • Coordinate community and stakeholder relations and lead execution of the division’s strategic community outreach plan to stakeholders, including industry, Congress, academia, and international organizations.

Torch Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Public Affairs Specialist providing support to the Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management Division (C3BM) at WPAFB in Dayton, OH. Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management (C3BM) has been tasked with delivering an integrated Department of the Air Force (DAF) Battle Network providing resilient decision advantage and enabling the USAF, USSF, Joint, and Coalition Force to win against the pacing challenge. C3BM supports execution in many different focus areas. C3BM’s main efforts are Architecture and Systems Engineering (ASE), Operational Response Team (ORT), and multiple mission integration teams such as Air, Maritime and multiple acquisitions consisting of both the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) and Space.

  • Support the planning and execution of strategic programs. This role encompasses strategic communications, public affairs, outreach, and event planning.

Required Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field

Preferred Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in DoW public affairs, protocol, and event management.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills with the ability to produce press releases, news articles, and speeches across multiple media.
  • Knowledge of agency program planning, funding, and management information systems.

Salary Range

$110,000 - $125,000
