Qualifications

• Must possess a 2-year college degree or higher.
• A minimum of one year’s experience in public relations.
• Ability to use, understand, and maintain directories, personnel lists, and other guides and references to provide a variety of information on the office and to refer questions to other offices.
• Skill in meeting and dealing with people in a courteous and tactful manner.
• Skill in operating a computer terminal, personal computer, various office machines (fax, scanner, copier, etc.).
• Knowledge and understanding of the mission, functions, and litigative activities of the USAO.
• Knowledge of oral and written communication techniques.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain adjudication for the prerequisite background investigation. Physical location within the general geographic commuting radius of the USAO Dallas office.

Responsibilities

• Implements social media programs and manages daily content and interactions across platforms.
• Provides guidance to leadership on information campaigns using social media and writes briefing materials.
• Plans and coordinates statewide and national campaigns to convey USAO initiatives and responds to media inquiries.
