Job summary

PCI Federal (PCIF) is seeking a Communication Strategist to support NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. The role focuses on planning and executing communications campaigns for the space suits program, preparing subject‑matter experts for interviews, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure message accuracy and impact.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Journalism, Multimedia, Communications or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in strategic communications.
• Ability to explain complex technical ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable in a dynamic environment.
• Experience editing and familiarity with AP style is a plus.
• Willingness to travel depending on mission and client requirements.
• NASA experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research, write, edit, and distribute news releases, advisories, feature articles, web updates, blogs, talking points, and other materials supporting NASA’s suits program.
• Track impact of materials and present results and strategies to the program.
• Ensure messaging aligns with Agency priorities and is accurate.
• Identify strategies, tactics, products, and messaging for the suits program and events, and evaluate effectiveness.
• Provide project management and coordinate with Agency stakeholders and external partners.
• Collaborate across the organization, federal agencies, international partners, and private sector groups.
