Our Public Affairs Education Assistant supports a variety of educational and administrative functions. Here’s what we’re looking for:
You’ll need strong communication skills to coordinate with teachers, school administrators, and members of the public. This role requires the ability to clearly share information about our programs, organize and schedule tours, and present water-related concepts in a lively, age-appropriate way.
A genuine interest in education and community engagement is essential. Your enthusiasm will help create memorable learning experiences that spark curiosity and build understanding of water treatment, distribution, and the water cycle for students and the broader community.
Confidence in public speaking is a must. You’ll deliver scripted presentations, engage audiences, and respond to student questions with ease and clarity.
In addition to creativity, excellent organization is key. Managing schedules, tracking program participation, and processing invoices requires attention to detail and the ability to keep administrative tasks running smoothly.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of two years of experience teaching, training, leading tours or giving presentations and a valid California Class C driver's license. Experience working with elementary school students and science education is preferred.
