Job summary

ENS Solutions, LLC, a service-disabled veteran owned IT firm, is seeking a Public Affairs Officer – Junior to join the public affairs team. The role offers hands-on exposure to media monitoring, content development, and event coordination while learning from senior staff.

The successful candidate will craft AP-style content, manage social channels, support external engagements, and help prepare presentations and briefing materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Political Science, or a related field is required.
• 2+ years of professional experience or relevant internships in PR or journalism; 2+ years direct public affairs/journalism experience if no degree.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities with ability to draft, edit, and proofread.
• High attention to detail and thoroughness in tasks such as compiling media clips or scheduling posts.
• Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced role.

Responsibilities

• Support media monitoring and daily press clipping distribution.
• Develop and execute AP style content including articles, newsletters, social posts, podcasts, and scripts.
• Manage digital/social content and provide analytics on performance.
• Coordinate external conferences, outreach programs, and events; prepare materials.
• Prepare NGA presentations, briefing books, slick sheets, brochures, and agendas; plan events three days in advance.
• Maintain internal databases and coordinate speaking engagements for NGA leadership.
