Job Summary

We have an immediate need for a Public Affairs Coordinator to join our Washington, DC office and support the growing Public Affairs and Strategic Communications practice.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic communications plans for clients, including media outreach and messaging.
  • Draft press releases, talking points, op‑eds, and other written materials for client initiatives.
  • Monitor media coverage and provide timely updates and analysis to clients and internal teams.
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, media outlets, and key stakeholders.
  • Assist in crisis communications and rapid response efforts as needed.
  • Support client meetings, briefings, and events, including preparation of materials and follow‑up.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, policy professionals, and other team members to integrate communications strategies with legislative and regulatory objectives.
  • Conduct research on policy issues, media trends, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
  • 2‑4 years of experience as a press aide or in a communications role within the U.S. House, Senate, or Administration (required).
  • Experience working with or for private sector clients in public affairs or strategic communications (preferred).
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to craft clear, persuasive messaging.
  • Familiarity with media relations and political communications strategies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Existing relationships with national and trade media outlets (a plus).
  • Knowledge of digital and social media strategies for public affairs campaigns.
Compensation and Benefits

Salary ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, profit sharing and vacation/sick/personal time off.
