UEC is seeking a rising senior or recent graduate for a paid internship in Washington, DC. The role involves preparing advocacy materials, monitoring events, and supporting outreach and digital campaigns, with a hybrid in-office requirement.

The candidate should have strong writing and research skills, plus proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook, and familiarity with major social media platforms. Minimum 40 hours per week, in-person component at our DC office.

Qualifications

• Rising seniors or recent graduates required.
• Excellent writing, research and communication skills expected.
• Able to work with minimal direction and in a PC/Outlook environment.
• Familiarity with social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn) and best practices.

Responsabilités

• Prepare written materials for advocacy campaigns and grassroots logistics (databases, press releases, FAQs, letters, memos).
• Monitor news events, compile press lists, and conduct background research for current/potential clients.
• Cover press events and public hearings (community board meetings) and assist with event coordination.
• Help manage canvassing and direct community outreach.
• Assist with digital advertising and social media campaigns.
