Jobot in Plano, TX is seeking an Accounting Manager (Public Accounting) to lead the accounting services for clients with outsourced payroll and accounting. This hybrid role is in-office 2-3 days a week and offers meaningful client engagements and accelerated career growth.

The candidate will oversee multiple projects, deliver management reports, and provide QuickBooks training, with CPA preferred but not required. Expect a collaborative team environment with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• BS/Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant Public Accounting experience and ability to manage clients and support the accounting services team.
• CPA license preferred but not required; strong QuickBooks and related software proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead consulting engagements with clients, managing relationships and expectations.
• Assist tax department with tax strategy and understanding of tax issues for clients.
• Supervise 5–7 accounting services team members to develop and engage the team.
• Oversee training programs and expand Paylocity video library to support division strategy.
• Review and approve monthly/quarterly/annual recurring project workflows.
• Oversee payroll tax forms, payroll processing, and related client services.
• Advise on payroll tax credits and opportunity credits for clients.
• Assist in developing standardized services menu and outsourcing for data entry.
