Job summary

TEL Staffing & HR is recruiting an experienced Auditor for a CPA firm in Pace, FL. The Auditor will perform audits, evaluate internal controls, and ensure financial statements meet GAAP/GAAS standards.

The candidate should be detail-oriented, analytical, and able to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Travel to client sites may be required; starting hourly salary and benefits vary by experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Public accounting or auditing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP and GAAS.
• Familiarity with audit procedures and financial statement prep.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform audit procedures per firm and professional standards.
• Examine financial statements, ledgers, reconciliations and other records.
• Test cash, AR, inventory, fixed assets, payables, payroll, revenue, expenses, and other accounts.
• Evaluate internal controls and identify risks.
• Prepare audit workpapers documenting procedures, evidence, and conclusions.
• Obtain and evaluate audit evidence from client and third parties.
• Communicate findings to Audit Manager or Partner.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements and disclosures.
• Communicate with clients to request documentation and resolve questions.
• Maintain organized engagement files per firm policies.
• Assist with year-end and special audits as assigned.
• Stay current with accounting, auditing, tax, and regulatory requirements.
