Job summary

LaneStaffing, Inc. is seeking an Audio Visual Technician in Laredo to support audiovisual production and Public Access Channel operations for the City of Laredo.

The role involves recording, editing, and distributing programming; supporting live and recorded meetings and events; and maintaining media archives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with video production, AV equipment, editing software, live event production, and multi-camera environments.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of television, video, or broadcast production.
• Experience with digital videography and photography.
• Proficiency in video and audio recording, editing, lighting, and production techniques.
• Familiarity with live event and multi-camera production environments.
• Ability to set up, test, troubleshoot, and operate audiovisual equipment.
• Knowledge of master control and programming environments.
• Experience with Mac/Windows production environments and related software.
• Exposure to video editing software and digital content distribution.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with professional broadcast equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Record and edit audiovisual content in studio and field environments.
• Capture, edit, and produce programming for the City of Laredo Public Access Channel.
• Set up, test, operate, and break down audiovisual equipment for meetings and events.
• Record and post City Council and committee meetings.
• Support audiovisual production for various city meetings and public events.
• Prepare and operate equipment within City Council Chambers and other facilities.
• Upload captured content to editing systems and prepare files for distribution/broadcast.
• Encode, schedule, monitor, and maintain programming for public access channels.
• Operate and monitor master control equipment and programming systems.
• Maintain audiovisual files, records, logs, archives, and programming data.
• Update spreadsheets related to scheduled and completed programming.
• Assist with live and recorded field productions, including parades and events.
• Operate cameras, audio systems, lighting, switchers, and recording gear.
• Support multi-camera productions and perform technical production functions.
• Assist front office with customer needs and general business activities.
• Maintain professional communication with City staff and the public.
• Drive a City vehicle for authorized City business as required.
• Arrive on time and prepared for meetings, productions, and events.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
