Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support pharmacists under direct supervision and help run the Pharmacy Department in alignment with company policies.

You will use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and assist with cashier operations. The role emphasizes delivering a high-quality customer experience and supporting inventory and daily store activities to maintain smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• PTCB certification or state certification/registration preferred for advancement.
• Good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring and weighing medications.
• Good computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy and support pharmacy department duties.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems; coach technicians and cashiers if certified.
• Engage customers with a distinctive and delightful customer experience and resolve questions.
