Job summary

Walgreens in Meridian, Idaho is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist under supervision and support the Pharmacy Department in daily operations.

You will enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems, help fill prescriptions, check for interactions, manage inventory, and provide a friendly, efficient customer experience at each visit. Prior retail experience and PTCB certification are valued, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Prior experience with Walgreens preferred.
• Strong math skills for accurate prescription filling.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy under supervision, following state, federal, and company policies.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems and process prescriptions.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring medications; verify accuracy and interactions.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, unpacking and stocking of pharmaceuticals.
• Handle cash and operate the cash register; direct customers to OTC products as needed.
• Support clinical services and coordinate with healthcare providers as required.
• Adhere to the Walgreens Code of Conduct and pharmacy compliance policies.
