Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist under supervision and support the Pharmacy Department per policy. You will use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions, coach technicians if certified, and ensure a delightful customer experience.

Role includes handling cash, stocking, and coordinating with clinicians; flexible schedule. Prior Walgreens experience and PTCB certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefer good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately (counting, measuring, weighing).
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in dispensing prescriptions under supervision.
• Enter patient and drug information in pharmacy systems accurately.
• Fill prescriptions by counting, measuring and pouring medications.
• Verify medicine correctness and check for potential interactions.
• Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register.
• Maintain pharmacy workflow and assist with inventory management.
