Job summary

HarborView Post-Acute in Memphis, TN is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to support licensed Physical Therapists in delivering patient-centered care. You will assist with treatments, document progress, and help patients perform therapeutic activities within care plans.

Responsibilities include transporting patients, applying therapeutic modalities, and communicating with caregivers about treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Must hold a TN PTA license.
• Minimum of 1 year of Skilled Nursing Facility or Long-Term Care experience.
• Excellent customer service and patient care skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists with treatments and procedures per patient care plans.
• Document progress and modify treatments as directed.
• Instruct, motivate and support patients during exercises or functional activities.
• Transport patients to and from treatment areas and secure them as needed.
• Administer manual therapy techniques and modalities such as ultrasound.
• Monitor patient responses and record vital signs and outcomes.
• Collaborate with PT staff and caregivers to coordinate treatment plans.
