Job summary

Virtua in New Jersey is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to perform rehabilitative patient treatments under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, and to provide objective data describing patient progress.

You will assist the manager with clinical and operational issues, help improve processes and utilization of rehab services, and communicate with patients and families in a respectful, educational manner.

Qualifications

• Minimum PTA Associate degree from an APTA-accredited program.
• Current licensure in the State of New Jersey.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Consult with medical and therapy team to deliver optimal patient care.
• Provide PTA interventions aligned with the plan of care and relay patient status to the supervising PT.
• Maintain and complete patient records and required documentation in a timely manner.
• Utilize aides and support staff effectively to support patient care.
• Educate patients and families and tailor information to age, condition, and culture.
