Job summary

Courtland Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Courtland, VA is seeking a part-time PRN Physical Therapy Assistant to join a dedicated rehab team. You will work under a PT’s supervision to deliver comprehensive patient care, assist with patient referrals, and help maintain accurate documentation and billing for services rendered.

This on-site role emphasizes collaborative care within an interdisciplinary team, adherence to state guidelines, and ongoing professional development through staff

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited university with a BA or Associate degree in Physical Therapy recognized by the APTA.
• Holds current license and/or registration in the state of Virginia as a PTA.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of a PT according to state practice guidelines.
• Assist PT in identifying suitable patients and referring them to rehab accordingly.
• Document patient participation and progress on progress notes with PT co-signature.
• Ensure MD orders for treatments, recertifications and discharges are obtained.
• Assist with other documentation requirements per state guidelines.
• Attend facility and rehab meetings as directed by Supervisor.
• Act as rehab delegate to the interdisciplinary team.
• Assist with scheduling of patients as indicated.
• Complete billing for PT services accurately and ethically.
• Cover other therapists’ patient caseload during absences when needed.
