Job summary

Stern Therapy Consultants' Agawam Campus in Agawam, MA is hiring a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support rehabilitation services in our skilled nursing facility. You will work under the supervision of the Physical Therapist to help residents with mobility and functional goals.

The role offers scheduling flexibility and the opportunity to collaborate with PT, OT, SLP and nursing teams to ensure safe participation and meaningful progress toward therapy goals.

Qualifications

• Active PTA license required.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Skilled nursing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with gait training, strengthening exercises, balance work, and transfer training.
• Observe resident performance during treatment sessions and communicate updates to the PT.
• Encourage safe participation and progress toward therapy goals.
