Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Durham in Durham, NC is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our inpatient post-ICU rehab team on a full-time basis. You will support the physical therapist with patient care, assist with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and functional activities on the 6th floor of Duke Regional Hospital.

The role requires a valid PTA license and BLS certification, with a competitive compensation of $28.00 to $40.00 per hour based on experience, plus

Qualifications

• Valid state PTA license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with delivery of physical therapy services including transportation, therapeutic exercises and functional activities.
• Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the physical therapist (PT).
• Assist the PT in carrying out interventions to meet long-term goals, including strengthening, balance, and mobility.
• Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics or assistive devices.
