Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Columbus - Vic Village is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in Columbus, Ohio. This PRN, on-site role supports compassionate patient care under the supervision of a PT, with an hourly compensation of $32. Start date requires valid PTA license and BLS certification.

You’ll assist in delivering PT services, implement treatment plans, and help patients with mobility and functional activities, including training in devices as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid state PTA license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the delivery of physical therapy services including transportation, therapeutic exercises and functional activities.
• Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the physical therapist (PT).
• Assist the PT in carrying out therapeutic interventions including strengthening, coordination and balance exercises; posture, endurance/cardiac, functional skills and community re-entry training; joint mobility and muscle lengthening and pain relief.
• Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics or assistive devices.
