Physical Therapy Assistant PT Pediatrics Clinic Based Outpatient Preschool

Monday-Friday 8am- 4pm treatment schedule

We are seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team of top pediatric specialists.

Our Physical Therapy Assistants collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement an intensive therapeutic program to provide a comprehensive approach to pediatric care. Physical Therapy Assistants at Blue Bird Day work directly with clients aged 2-6 years old and their families to support development and caregiver success. Our Physical Therapy Assistants Focus on the Following Interventions:

  1. Early Motor Development such as crawling, walking, jumping, stair climbing, e.g.
  2. Orthotic Assessment, Intervention and Management
  3. Posture control during feeding and other activities of daily living
  4. Pelvic floor and other motor control issues related to toilet training
  5. Family and Team Collaboration and Education

Physical Therapy Education Requirements:

  1. Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant with experience
  2. Experience working with neurodivergent children a plus

Bird Day is an intensive therapy program for children with autism, ADHD, and other developmental disorders. Our therapies are offered in a preschool-like setting, but instead of teachers, our "classes" are run by therapists. Our collaborative team provides occupational, physical, speech, developmental, ABA, and other therapies to help our clients reach their unique goals. We have locations in Chicago's West Loop and Northcenter neighborhoods and in Wheaton, and we're growing!
