Job summary

Adoration Health is seeking a dedicated Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Sylacauga, AL team. You will provide 1:1 patient care in the home, coordinate with the Physical Therapist, and support plans of treatment in a flexible, community-based setting.

We look for a licensed PTA with CPR/BLS and at least 1 year of experience; the role offers stability, ongoing opportunities, and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted license as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.
• Minimum of one year’s PTA experience preferred.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques for neurological injuries.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services planned, delegated, and supervised by the PT.
• Communicate progress and any concerns to the PT and care team.
• Assist in acquiring adaptive equipment to improve function.
• Incorporate adaptive equipment to enhance rehabilitation.
• Maintain and submit treatment and billing documentation as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services planned, delegated, and supervised by the qualified Physical Therapist in accordance with the patient’s Plan of Treatment
• Confers with the Physical Therapist regularly regarding patient’s plan of treatment, status of progress toward goals, questions and concerns
• Communicates patient’s needs and progress to the Physical Therapist of record and assists in securing special adaptive equipment to improve function
• Incorporates the use of adaptive equipment to enhance the rehabilitation program
• Maintains and submits patient treatment and billing documentation in the format and timelines required by the Company, facility, funding source, local, state and federal regulations

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted license as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of practice
• Current Basic Life Support or cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification in accordance with state regulations
• A minimum of one year’s work experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred
• Demonstrates knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury
