Responsibilities

1. Provide physical therapy services as planned, delegated, and supervised by the qualified Physical Therapist in accordance with the patient's Plan of Treatment.
2. Confers with the Physical Therapist regularly regarding the patient's plan of treatment, progress, and concerns.
3. Assist with cleaning and maintenance of equipment, treatment, and department areas.
4. Report equipment problems to ensure proper maintenance.
5. Communicate patient's needs and progress to the Physical Therapist and assist in securing adaptive equipment to enhance rehabilitation.
6. Maintain and submit patient treatment and billing documentation in compliance with regulations.
7. Adhere to the company's standards, policies, HIPAA, compliance programs, and legal requirements.
8. Participate in staff development, continuing education, and maintain clinical skills.

Qualifications

1. Current unrestricted license as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the practicing state.
2. Current BLS or CPR certification as per state regulations.
3. Preferred: Minimum one year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
4. Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques for complex neurological injuries.
5. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
6. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
